We are a local business offering secure document shredding services to our community. To us being local is much more than having a physical address in Humboldt County. Being local means treating each customer as a member of our local community and seeking out local vendors to keep the dollars we spend here.
We have developed a relationship with Humboldt Community Access and Resource Center (HCAR), a local nonprofit dedicated to creating connections to the community for people with developmental disabilities, in filling the positions we have available. Every possible position is filled by an individual with developmental disabilities. These employment opportunities offer individuals long term employment and training along with learning the daily living skills many of us take for granted.
The employment of those with developmental disabilities is not done at the expense of security or safety. There is always a supervisor present to make sure confidentiality is maintained and that everyone remains safe at all times. Shred Tec does not ask for and does not receive government funds for supporting these activities.
Our goal is to offer a secure shredding solution to Humboldt County businesses and individuals. We strive to make this service as specific to the needs of each individual customer as possible.
